The service

SHEILI is an online marketplace that lets you book luggage storage at participating businesses ("stores"). The store provides the storage service and is responsible for it; SHEILI acts as an intermediary: it publishes the offer, takes the booking, collects the payment on behalf of the store, provides customer support and pays the store. Price

The total price has two separate concepts, both shown before payment and with taxes included: (1) storage, priced by each store per bag and per started 24-hour period; (2) the SHEILI service & handling fee, charged per bag once per booking regardless of the duration, for the booking platform, payment processing, booking credentials, the digital custody record, booking management and customer support. The service fee is not insurance. SHEILI may change the fee for future bookings; confirmed bookings keep the price accepted at checkout.

Booking and payment

You pay a single amount for the whole booking. A booking is confirmed only after the payment is confirmed by our payment provider.

Changes and extensions

Before drop-off you can change times or the number of bags; you pay the difference or receive a refund of the difference. After drop-off you can extend the pick-up time and pay the extra storage. Changes are priced with the terms of your original booking.

Cancellation and refunds

Free cancellation before the drop-off time with a full refund, including the service fee. [Define rules after drop-off and for no-shows — pending legal review.]

Drop-off and pick-up

Bags are tagged and recorded at drop-off. Pick-up requires the booking QR code and the PIN sent to you by email.

Prohibited items

You must not leave: weapons; explosives, fireworks, flammable gases or liquids; illegal or stolen goods; drugs; hazardous, toxic or corrosive substances; perishable food or anything that smells or leaks; animals or plants; cash, cards and securities; jewellery, watches and precious items; passports, IDs and irreplaceable documents; unsealed liquids; items that do not fit the store’s space. Stores may refuse or ask to inspect items when there is a reasonable suspicion. You are responsible for any damage caused by prohibited items.

Liability

The store is responsible for the custody of your luggage. Liability for loss or damage is limited to the amount shown before booking per booking [amount pending decision], except where the law does not allow limitation (e.g. wilful misconduct or gross negligence) [PENDING LEGAL VALIDATION]. No insurance or guarantee is included. Claims: report any problem from your booking page within the period shown (currently 72 hours after the pick-up time) with photos and a description; SHEILI coordinates the claim with the store.

Uncollected luggage

If you do not collect your luggage on time, we will notify you and you can extend your booking (the price of the extra time is shown before you pay; nothing is charged without your confirmation). If we cannot reach you, our team will try to contact you and the luggage stays in custody. Luggage is never disposed of, destroyed or sold automatically; any further step will follow the applicable law [PENDING LEGAL VALIDATION].

Minors

You do not need to be of legal age to book luggage storage, which is an everyday service of small value. Some services may require it in your country, or the permission of a parent or guardian (for example the SHEILI Pass, an annual subscription), and we will say so before you buy.
